BMX enthusiasts are enjoying a smoother ride at Mooloolah following a much needed track resurface.
Suncoast Hinterland BMX Club will show off the resurfaced track at an open day on Saturday 20 July.
The track upgrade was funded by a $6369 Sunshine Coast Council major community grant.
Suncoast Hinterland BMX Club President Kelly Jull said her club was thrilled to have received the funding.
The club has members aged from three through to their 60s, and the track is open to the public.
Ms Jull said the resurfacing would encourage more people to go for a ride.
“We have had a lot of comments about how good the track is looking and the resurfacing has really helped reduce the amount of time we need to spend maintaining the track,” Ms Jull said.
“It has greatly lessened the impact of the recent heavy rain.’’
Around 350 riders are expected to attend the open day.
